Every winter, something extraordinary happens just off the coastline of Phillip Island. The world’s most majestic travellers begin their annual northern migration from the icy waters of Antarctica to the warm, sheltered seas of Queensland. It is one of the longest mammal migrations on Earth, stretching an incredible 10,000 to 13,000 kilometres and taking four to six months to complete.
