More than 110 million people worldwide have been forced from their homes due to conflict, violence, persecution and other coercive acts. Last week our Honorary Alumni came together at Wollongong Golf Club for the annual Honorary Alumni Chapter Social Lunch. The event is an important opportunity to welcome and acknowledge Honorary Alumni conferred by the University in the preceding year, while also celebrating the ongoing contribution of our Honorary Alumni community. The Honorary Alumni community includes individuals formally recognised through honorary titles, such as Emeritus Professors, recipients of Honorary Doctorates, and Honorary Fellows, acknowledging their ongoing connection and contribution to UOW.Guests heard from our 2026 Honorary Alumni Chapter Scholarship recipient, Emma Kidd.
